Thousands march in Mexico's gay pride parade

Mexico city witnessed thousands of people taking part in a proud gay pride parade. A very different kind of Parade in itself where people took part with great interest.The gay pride parade was held to in order to celebrate Mexico City's historic decision that was taken six months ago.This decision let the people to tie a knot with same sex and Mexico became the first city in Latin America that legally allowed these marriages.

The oldest part of the city had throngs of jubilant demonstrators with convertibles and colourful floats and most of them were on foot.The parade continued for three long hours,one of the participant Orlando Garcia described his pleasure by saying "we are a city that doesn't support any kind of discrimination although we give equal respect to homosexuals.

It is important to mention here that on December 21 Mexico City's left-leaning legislature legally gave green flag to gay marriage consequently it opened all the doors of gay adoptions.On March 11 two Mexican women tied a knot very first in Mexico City on the other side this law has been contested by Calderon's administration in the country's Supreme Court, point of concern is that whether the constitution allows the gay marriage.
